Copa das Federações 2025

2025 Confederations Cup

Brazilian Federation Cup crowns Pickleball champions and reveals new directions for the sport in the country.

Porto Seguro (BA) was the venue for the 2025 Pickleball Federation Cup, organized by the Brazilian Pickleball Confederation (CBP). The tournament brought together teams from 10 Brazilian states, in a team format, with competitions in the Open and 50+ categories. The event crowned the Brazilian champions and consolidated the competition as a national benchmark for the sport.

In the final result, Rio Grande do Sul confirmed its strength and won the Brazilian championship titles in both categories. In both, the São Paulo team finished as runner-up, demonstrating consistency and revealing the formation of well-defined competitive hubs. The Open category final had a high technical level, with balanced games that reinforce the tactical evolution and physical preparation of the Brazilian athletes.

Among the JOOLA highlights, the São Paulo Open Selection featured João Pedro Agulha, Raphael Campos, Gabriel Joy, Andressa Mossri, and Ana Burjaili, while the São Paulo 50+ team had Rei Junqueira and Patrícia Medrado as key players. From Rio Grande do Sul, the standout was Kym Sze, a JOOLA athlete recognized for his refined technique, who was a key element in the championship campaign.

More than the trophies, the tournament made it clear that Brazilian pickleball is experiencing a period of expansion. The presence of 10 states shows that the sport has already broken through regional barriers, creating healthy rivalries and expanding the base of athletes. The balance between veterans and young talents also signals that Brazil is building a solid ecosystem, capable of nurturing both high-performance and amateur growth.

Porto Seguro, a traditional tourist destination, provided the tournament with a vibrant setting that connects sport and culture, attracting audiences and reinforcing the potential of sports tourism combined with pickleball. The 2025 Federation Cup was, therefore, more than just a championship: it was a reflection of the maturity that pickleball is beginning to reach in Brazil, with athletes, federations, and states writing together a decisive chapter for the future of the sport.
