Pickle Play Alliance 2025: circuit grows with events in Santos and at PCKL Park

What happens when you combine strong prize money, high-level players, enthusiastic beginners, and a project that views pickleball as a community and not just a competition?

You have the Pickle Play Alliance .

In 2025, the circuit has already shown its potential: it began with an intense weekend at the Santos Pickleball Club and continued with the 2nd stage at the CBP headquarters, PCKL Park, in São Paulo , from November 20th to 23rd .
More than just a tournament, Alliance is becoming a national meeting point for those who already live and breathe pickleball and for those who are taking their first steps in the sport.

What is the Pickle Play Alliance?

Pickle Play Alliance is a tournament project created in partnership with the Brazilian Pickleball Confederation (CBP) .
The idea is simple and powerful:

  • To value the athletes , with professional infrastructure and relevant prizes;
  • Integrate the community by mixing beginners, intermediate, and pro players in the same environment;
  • To spread the sport , using large arenas as venues, such as the Santos Pickleball Club and PCKL Park.

It's not "just another tournament": the Alliance is already designed as a circuit , with stages in different cities and a proposal for continuity throughout the year.

First stop: Santos Pickleball Club, different prizes and format.

The 2025 journey began on August 30th and 31st at the Santos Pickleball Club in Santos (SP).
According to the rules published on LetzPlay, it was a weekend with two "faces":

Saturday – Doubles Tournament (same and mixed doubles)

  • Location: Santos Pickleball Club
  • Format: women's, men's and mixed doubles
  • Categories: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced
  • Limit: up to 18 spots (9 pairs) per category per gender
  • Game system: groups + bracket, matches in 1 set up to 21 points.

The main attraction on Saturday was the Advanced category , with R$ 15,000 in prize money distributed among the pairs that reached the quarterfinals.
Distribution of prizes (advanced category on Saturday only):

  • 1st place: R$ 3,000.00
  • 2nd place: R$ 2,000.00
  • 3rd place: R$ 1,000.00
  • 4th place: R$ 500.00
  • Doubles eliminated in the quarterfinals: R$ 250.00 each

Sunday – Team Tournament
On Sunday, the format changed completely:

  • 8 teams of 16 players each, with:
    • 2 beginners
    • 2 intermediaries
    • 4 intermediate plus/advanced levels in each genre.
  • Individual registration, with teams assembled by the captains to balance the matches;
  • Categories: Beginner, Intermediate, and Intermediate Plus/Advanced;

Format: Groups + brackets , matches in 1 set to 21 points.
The stated objective in the regulations is clear:

"A memorable tournament weekend in support of the athletes and the engagement of Brazilian pickleball. Celebrating and uniting pickleball enthusiasts."

In other words, it's not just about who wins, but about bringing together a lot of talented people to play and creating connections that go beyond the result.

Second stage: PCKL Park becomes the pickleball capital from November 20th to 23rd.

After Santos, the Alliance went up the mountain and landed in São Paulo.
From November 20th to 23rd, 2025 , PCKL Park , headquarters of CBPickleball , hosted the 2nd stage of the Pickle Play Alliance .
Some key points that marked this stage:

  • Four days of games in different categories, with continuous programming;

Official tournament registered as “Pickle Play Alliance – Team Tournament” in the CBP system;

  • The presence of athletes from various clubs and projects , including those who were already on a roll from the Santos stage;

On social media, the organization referred to " another insane stage " and invited people to get their rackets ready and gather their friends for "four days of intense excitement."

The stage champions at PCKL Park

Based on the records from the Integrated Pickleball System , it's possible to put together a good sporting picture of the event at PCKL Park.
Women's Pro (DFPRO)
In the DFPRO bracket, the winning pair was:

  • Marcela Cordeiro / Isadora Campi

According to the official record, the system indicates the pair as the winners of the final by a score of 2-1 , in a match played on November 22, 2025 , in the afternoon.
For Isadora, it was another important title this year, adding to her excellent performance in the Santos stage and results in other high-level competitions.
Men's Pro (DMPRO)
In the DMPRO category, the trophy went to:

  • Caio Silva / Hugo Dojas

The match record shows a 2-0 victory, with the system marking "winner: Caio Silva/Hugo Dojas 2 x 0" in the final played on 11/22.
Hugo had been in great form since the Santos stage, where he also won titles in the Men's Advanced and Mixed Advanced categories , proving his consistency in different formats.
Mista Pro (DMSPRO)
In the mixed pro category , the title went to a pair that has already been making a name for itself on the circuit:

  • Hugo Dojas / Marcela Cordeiro

Based on the recorded matches, they defeated Natalia Soares / Eduardo Correia in the final, with scores of 11–2 and 11–3 , confirming the strength of the partnership.
Beyond the result itself, what stands out is the versatility of Marcela and Hugo , who appear in both the same doubles and mixed doubles brackets, always fighting for the top spot.
Male 40+ (DM40)
Among the veterans, the DM40 bracket delivered balance and a lot of experience on the court.
The title went to the duo:

  • Henry Goldsmid / Carlos Ferreira

She appears in the records with a 15-13 victory in the final against Eduardo Spazzapan / Otavio Lima , with the clear notation: "winner: Henry Goldsmid/Carlos Ferreira 1 x 0".
On social media, teams like TEAM INDECES strongly celebrated the performance of their athletes in the 40+ category, reinforcing how Alliance is also a space for prominence for those who already have a good track record in the sport .
Behind the scenes: official ball, clinics, and festival atmosphere.
The PCKL Park stage wasn't just about the official draw matches.
Through the organization's channels, it's possible to highlight some behind-the-scenes elements:

  • A clinic with captains and coaches from the project, featuring guided training sessions and technical discussions, in a format designed to bring the public closer to elite athletes.
  • Lots of social media activity: reels, photos, behind-the-scenes shots, calls with confirmed athletes who get nicknames, like the player who "after the stage in Santos earned the affectionate nickname 'Seu Madruga' (Mr. Madruga)."

The atmosphere is that of a sporting festival .
People who are going to play, people who are going to cheer, curious people who show up for the first time… and end up leaving wanting to train more seriously.

A tournament that also knows when to pause to pay homage.

In the midst of the celebration, Alliance also experienced a moment of silence and respect.
The organization published a note of condolence for the passing of Hilário Javier Lacoma , known to the community as "Lalo," a referee and athlete passionate about pickleball, who was present at the event with his usual cheerfulness.

Hilário was a well-known figure in the community, having worked as a referee and participated in training courses and tournaments.
Joola Brazil expresses its deepest respect and condolences to the family and loved ones.

Why is the Pickle Play Alliance important for Brazilian pickleball?
Combining the Santos and PCKL Park stages, it's clear why Alliance is already relevant from the start: professional organization, structured calendar, integration of levels.

In terms of the setting, it's the kind of event that raises the bar and helps solidify pickleball as a competitive and organized sport in Brazil.
