Vitor Ishiy leads high-performance experience at Joy Table Tennis; event will be on Saturday (15), with limited places
São Caetano do Sul (SP) Joy Table Tennis is hosting an intensive high-performance clinic with Olympic athlete Vitor Ishiy this Saturday, November 15th .
The meeting takes place in two sessions (9:00 AM–12:30 PM and 2:00 PM–5:30 PM), with 28 places per session , and is aimed at amateur athletes who seek to accelerate their technical development and play with a competitive mindset.
The investment is R$ 200 per period and registration is open.
Location: Joy Table Tennis — Rua Nazaret, 807, São Caetano do Sul (SP)
Registration: tr.ee/LHgL5jRIw4
The proposal: training with a national team feel, language for amateurs.
The clinic immerses participants in a professional training routine for 3.5 hours each session, combining directed exercises , individual feedback , and competitive series . The methodology focuses on four pillars: fun (a relaxed learning environment), technique (efficient fundamentals), creativity (variation and game reading), and intensity/competitiveness (decision-making under pressure). At the end, each player leaves with a checklist of corrections and training tasks to maintain progress after the event.
What goes on the court
-
Targeted warm-up and quick fundamental assessment;
-
Thematic sequences: serve/reception, first attack, short ball vs. long ball, defense-to-attack transition;
-
Point blocks with goals (per set/time) to consolidate a competitive habit;
-
Individual feedback with objective guidance for the next training cycle.
Unlike a "mega-class," this format replicates the logic of performance: little talk, lots of ball work, clear objectives, and on-the-spot corrections.
Who is Vitor Ishiy?
Born in São Paulo and 29 years old, Vitor Ishiy is one of the most consistent names in the Brazilian National Team this decade. He competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the Paris 2024 Games ; in the latter, he debuted in the individual event with a 4-0 victory over Australian Nicholas Lum and was part of the men's team that advanced to the quarterfinals.
In the team tournament in Paris, Brazil eliminated Portugal in the round of 16 and was stopped in the quarterfinals by France, repeating the country's best performance in the event.
Ishiy is a regular member of the CBTM (Brazilian Table Tennis Confederation) roster, has a classic offensive style, a classic grip, and a solid track record in Pan-American and Pan-American Table Tennis Championships.
What is Joy Table Tennis?

The headquarters are located at Rua Nazaret, 807 , the same address as the clinic. ( Instagram )
Joy's light, challenging, and transformative pedagogical approach is reflected in the clinic's design: short exercises, clear goals per set, and load control so that the amateur athlete can maintain the pace without sacrificing technical quality.
For those who it is (and for those who it is not)
-
This is for you if: you already train, participate in festivals/tournaments, or want to structure your game (serve, third ball, transition).
-
Not recommended if: you have never had contact with directed training or you cannot maintain basic rally training regularly (in this case, Joy recommends introductory classes before the immersion).
Expected earnings
-
Technical aspects: improving contact quality, first ball consistency, table distance adjustment, and point building.
-
Tactical: reading opponent's patterns, varying serve/reception, and selecting shots under pressure.
-
Mental aspects: focus routines between points, set goals, and a "play the next point" mentality.

Why does it matter?
Events with Olympic athletes shorten the learning curve : the quality of sparring, the precision of corrections, and the intensity of the exercises expose the amateur to the real demands of the game. In other words, it's a chance to transform training into performance , with process and purpose being hallmarks of Joy's work and those who live the international circuit.
Tips from the editorial staff to make the most of the clinic.
-
Arrive 20–30 minutes early to warm up and adjust your equipment.
-
Bring a notebook (or your phone) to jot down feedback and set goals.
-
Plan your "next day" : repeat the 2-3 exercises that hurt the most in the clinic – that's where your bottleneck is.
- Energy management : stay hydrated, have light snacks, and respect rest periods; quality > quantity.
