In the semifinals, MORAVEK defeated Sung Bing CHEN of Austria 3–1 (9–11, 11–7, 11–8, 11–4), while ELLERMANN advanced after a convincing 3–0 victory over Jimi KOIVUMÄKI of Finland (11–0, 11–0, 11–0). In the final match, MORAVEK started confidently, winning the first set 12–10. Although ELLERMANN leveled the score with a close second set win, MORAVEK regained control, closing out the match 3–1 (12–10, 9–11, 11–8, 11–7).
